Bindi…the forehead dot
September 3rd 2008 06:42
A bindi is a most commonly used forehead decoration by Indian women. It is actually a circular dot placed between the eyebrows. It can be made using vermilion, some colors or most commonly nowadays with the help of stickers coming in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and colors and easily removable.
Modern as well as traditional women wear bindis, as they are a symbol of style as well as sanctity; they are a symbol of marriage as well as panache….
